I talked with my students about what changes they would want to make if they could. Here are a few responses:
I will start off by submitting a grant through Donor's Choose for stability balls to replace our chairs in the classroom. After being inspired by the stool at TCEA and seeing Ms. Veraska's success with the stability balls, I figured a good first step would be to change the type of seating in my classroom. I believe this will increase student focus and learning success. I also feel that it will improve their behavior.

My next step will be to reconfigure my reading center to make it more friendly for students. Then I would like to add a listening center. I would like this space to be a quiet area where students can listen to books on the iPad through QR codes or Aurasma. I would like to move my tables to allow more room for a rug and some type of seating like bean bags or gaming chairs. Then they will have a follow up activity to complete about their story.
